On the status quo of being a science vagabond

How silly I am!

I'm of the Generation without 'pay'
and that condition doesn't even bother me.
How silly I am!
Cause this is dire straits and that will continue,
I'm lucky enough to be an Intern.
How silly I am!
And I'm left to think,
How silly's the world
Where to be a slave
One has to study.
I'm of the Generation "at the parents' house",
if I already have everything, why should I want more?
How silly I am
Children, husband, I'm always postponing
and I still have to pay for the car
How silly I am!
And I'm left to think,
How silly's the world
Where to be a slave
One has to study.
I'm of the Generation "Why should I complain?"
Someone worse-off than me is on TV
How silly I am!

I'm of the Generation "Can't take it anymore"
As this situation lasts for too long
And silly I'm not!
And I'm left to think,
How silly's the world
Where to be a slave
One has to study.

Music and Lyrics by the Portuguese band "Deolinda"
